ecause glass is such an important part of a window's performance, Wallside offers high-performance ClimaGard RLE Glass from Guardian Industries, which will insulate your home as much as 50 percent more than standard clear glass, saving you money every year.

"Low-E" stands for "low-emissivity." You could also call it "high-reflectivity."

The clear, Low-E coating on Wallside Windows means glass reflects thermal infrared heat back to where it's coming from notably, back inside your home in winter.

Insulated glass units in Wallside Windows also help keep your home cooler in summer by reducing incoming heat rays, and help keep the colors of your home's furniture and fabrics true by reducing the amount of incoming ultraviolet light.
This superior Low-E glass:
  • blocks up to 50 percent more unwanted solar energy than standard clear glass, and up to 40 percent more than even dark tinted glass. As a result, air-conditioning expenses are lowered while providing a more comfortable living environment;

  • blocks nearly twice as much harmful radiation as clear glass, extending the life of woodwork, carpets and furnishings, while still allowing plenty of natural sunlight to brighten interior spaces;

  • complies with EnergyStar® requirements. The EnergyStar® label ensures you're getting the most energy-efficient window for the climate zone you're in;

  • significantly increases the energy efficiency of your home;

  • helps regulate your home's environment, including keeping relative humidity at a comfortable and healthy level;

  • has a uniform, neutral appearance that enhances the beauty and design of any home.

Argon can improve a window's energy efficiency by several percentage points.

Wallside Windows also include the state-of-the-art Intercept® "warm-edge" spacer technology. Intercept spacers help reduce heat loss in several ways, adding even more energy efficiency to our windows.

Wallside Windows qualify for certification under the the U.S. Government's EnergyStar® program, which helps consumers find energy-efficient products.

Other Glass Options

Obscure Glass
Obscure
Translucent pebbly finish allows light in but obscures view for privacy. Usually used in bathrooms.

Etched & Grooved

Choose from many beautiful designs for an elegant interior look. A simple cross patern is often used in doorwalls for beauty and safety; more decorative motifs are available as well, including those pictured here.

Gray Glass

Gray
Gray glass reduces the amount of light coming into an area.

Solar Bronze
In daytime, solar bronze glass appears from the outdoors as a slightly bronze-colored mirror, providing privacy for those inside. From inside it looks like a normal window with a slight bronze tint. Glass reduces incoming light.

Tempered
Used where safety is an issue, tempered glass is about four times stronger than normal. It doesn't break easily, but when it does it breaks into tiny pieces, like automotive glass. It's required by law in doorlights, bathroom windows near tubs or showers, and windows having glass within 18 inches of the floor.

Double Strength
Wallside uses double-strength glass for larger windows because they put more stress on the glass. Double-strength glass helps ensure that even the biggest Wallside Window will last for years and years.
